Senior Digital Communications Consultant

Position overview
The digital communications consultant role is a dynamic, hands-on position that will involve both strategic consultancy and day-to-day campaign functions, such as client handling and media liaison responsibilities. A genuine interest in and knowledge of the digital media sector is essential for this position, combined with a passion for social media and a deep understanding of what grabs attention.

The candidate
Liberate Media is looking for an experienced digital media-focused communicator with an excellent network of sector contacts and a results-orientated attitude. The position is not open solely to PR practitioners. Applications from journalists, client-side professionals and media consultants, who feel they have a strong grasp of how to deliver corporate communications campaigns in the digital media sector, would be welcome.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of how brands should engage and communicate with their audiences, and how this process is rapidly evolving in the digital age.

He/she will be a self-motivated and ambitious individual, who can readily adapt to a virtual working environment. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to work from home but with the capacity to meet up with the Liberate Media team in London as required. As a result, the candidate must be flexible and able to provide their own computer and connectivity equipment.

Career path
As part of a fast-growing and exciting company, the candidate has the opportunity to tailor their long-term career path with Liberate Media. Although consultancy and digital/social media understanding will remain the foundation for all of its consultants, entrepreneurialism and carving out key specialisms that lead the company into new areas will be encouraged and supported.

The company operates a flat management structure, which means decision making is open and shared, and consultants have the opportunity to take a pivotal role in the company as it continues to expand.

The candidate’s career path will be mapped out in partnership with Liberate Media’s directors and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure progression is maintained over the long term.
