Catching-up on my daily dose of GMTV this morning, I was utterly gobsmacked when I heard this interview with Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton on the subject of paparazzi invasion, arguing there is no need for extra control.
He takes the interview in his sweaty gym kit (not something I’d ever advise my clients to do!), and although he offers some great soundbites, they’re not the sort I imagine Los Angeles Police Department’s press office would want quoted:
“Ever since Britney [Spears] started wearing clothes and behaving, Paris is out of town and not bothering anybody anymore thank god, and evidently Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue…” – Bratton.
I’ve just done a quick YouTube search for this controversial Police Chief, and he seems a bit of a live wire when it comes to giving interviews to the press. I’ll be saving some of these examples up for the next media training session I give!
