Timelines are a Great Way to Share Information
May 19th, 2008

Today we’ve come across a great site called Dipity - a timeline creation tool, that we thought might be of interest to some of our readers. It offers a nice and easy visual way to share information on any given topic.

“Dipity is the easiest way to make and share interactive timelines about the people and things you care about.” - a claim from the site.
The timelines them selves are quite hard to follow, especially if you have crammed loads of events in over the space of a week. But you can get around this by being able to view the contents in other ways such as the list view and flip book view.
We were particularly interested in the technology section which houses over 170 timeliness such as TechMeme, Adobe Air, TechCrunch, already created.
One nice feature I must commend them on is the sign-up process, where you can input put your Twitter user name, and import a blog feed among other things, which starts you off with your own personal timeline - this is basically a more visual type of life stream or digital footprint.
Other nice ways to use the timeline could be for presentations or research purposes…

Liberate Media social media resource/research map
April 16th, 2008
Social media resource

The Liberate Media social media research/resources page is where we archive all our social media and web 2.0 resources/findings. There is a huge amount of resource to be looked at, so please feel free to dig around at your leisure.
Liberate Media is always keen to add to the social media resource with new posts, so please get in touch if you have something of value to add. - The resource map will be ever growing with new headings and links being added all the time.
The social media resource/research is very heavy due to large amount of archived resource, it takes a little while to appear, but please be patient, it’s well worth the wait!
To use the resource map simply hold the left mouse button down and scroll around until you see the section you want to look at. Click the bars next to the paper-clip to get a description of the archive, then click the paper-clip to get a list of posts in that resource.
To add the resource/research map copy and paste the code below into your blog:
