Welcome to another instalment of the ‘Weekly Social Media sites, tools and posts round-up’.
1. Idea Informer is a great tool if you’re looking for feedback or ideas to increase the effectiveness of your website or product. Simply sign up, design your feedback form and add it to your site, the user can then ask for addition/suggestions to your website that can be voted for by other users.
2. PageModo is a fantastic way to spruce up your Facebook fan page. Traditionally you need to know FBML to add a nice looking page to your Facebook group, but PageModo takes away all the hassle leaving you to create a nice looking page without needing any specific coding skills.
3. Startpage UK is basically a load of links, but very helpful links!. The categories on the site cover every imaginable topic, click on one of the links and you’re taken to another page where that category is broken down even further. It doesn’t sound too impressive but go check it out, I’m sure you will be surprised!
4. Is also at. This is a very simple site, but very useful. Isalso.at is a web service that lets you access all of your social sites through a single launching pad. Useful to link to from your Twitter profile.
5. Lime Survey is a free highly customisable downloadable application used to create surveys. It come highly recommended and has one a number of awards.

1. Copy Gater. “This is a free service designed to monitor your RSS feed and find where your content has been republished in the blogosphere. We automatically notify you when a new post is copied to another feed, we also build an overview page you can view to see how/when/where your content is being duplicated, quoted or plagiarised. This is an entirely free service and is powered by the feed spidering power of ://URLFAN. 2. Default Icon are a set a free simple icons you can use in your blog or next PPT, they are under creative commons license so do acknowledge Default if you use them.
3. Bloop is a free service that lets you add events to its directory. You then sign into that event via a social profile, and start chatting to attendees or those interested in the event.
4. Favitt is a search engine that you can personalise. Currently you can only upload a background image but they claim more personalisation features are coming soon.
5.GT Metrix. GTmetrix uses Google Page Speed and Yahoo! YSlow to grade your site’s performance and provides actionable recommendations to fix these issues.

1.First off today is the Collective Christmas Twitter-driven app, a chance to find out if you’ve made Santa’s naughty or nice list. Pay him a visit to see what gift you deserve. (Collective is a client of Liberate Media).
2. Gigya Toolbar. By now you must have seen those fancy toolbars on blogs that hover at the bottom of the page. Gigya Toolbar is one such toolbar, that you can use for your own blog or website. To learn more about its features click here.
3. Ustat is a free website value calculator but it also gives you additional information, such as; whether your website is indexed in the correct places, social information and a SEO score. Here is how Google shapes up.
4. Twitterfall lets you easily follow trending topics on Twitter, you can also search for key words, a nice touch is the ability to search for Tweets from a particular location. Twitterfall is also highly customisable.
5. Seachzooka lets you create one advanced search for all the different search engines, meaning you don’t have to search through every individual search engine to find what you are looking for.

1. Twibes Twitter Groups, create your own tribe ‘twibe’ or sign up for an existing one. A twibe is a group of Twitter users interested in a common topic who would like to be able to communicate with each other.

3. Schmaps is a nice tool that promotes your events via Twitter. You create your event page and that gets tweeted out via a tiny url. The event page consists of a map, i’ll be there section, your imported Twitter background and all the Twitter comments surrounding your event.
4. WordPress TV is a platform to showcase all things WordPress including how to’s, new technologies, and expert interviews. This should be your first port of call if you ever run into WordPress issues!
5. Add new followers is a Twitter tool that automates the task of finding target followers based on keywords.
