Hi all, here are my five top sites and tools of the week.
1. Wizehive is a project management tool similar to Basecamp. The wealth of features Wizehive has is incredible. At the moment it is in Beta and full functionality will remain free until the end of 2009.
2. twitcam as the name suggests is an application that lets you stream your webcam to twitter.
Other features:
- No sign up required
- 100% Free (ad supported)
- No software required
- Handles up to 100,000+ viewers
- Share your broadcast on other social networks.
3. Team box is another solution for team collaboration on projects. You can use the online app for free or you can try the open source version on your own server that allows you to customise it.
4. Stickam is a live social networking website that features user-submitted pictures, audio, video and most importantly, live web cam streams and live video chat (up to 12 people at a time). It is 100% free. Great tool!
5. twitroduce is a nice idea that lets you connect via twitter and make personal recommendations.

Hi all, here are my picks for this week’s edition of top tools and sites of the week.
1. Follow Me Social Media Wordpress Plugin The Follow Me widget allows you to display links to all your social media profiles in one, easy-to-access button or window, it’s easily deployable in your wordpress blog sidebar.
2. Survs. Survs is a collaborative tool that allows you to build, deploy and analyse online surveys. It is collaborative in the sense that you can cooperate with your teammates through the journey of building, deploying and analysing your surveys. You can even share your survey results, templates and themes online.
3. Geo Follow. A nice looking Twitter tool to search the directory by: City, State, Zip, Country, Tag, Name, Twitter Username and Keyword
4. Guzzle.it is an online personalised news page which provides a nice way to easily track information from a bunch of news sources on a single webpage. You can add any topic and build a page very quicky - Recommended.
5. Follow Formation is a simple tool for Twitter users who want to follow the top people in their areas of interest. Choose from top 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 people and then hit follow.

Hi all, here is the first five fabulous web tools of the week in July. Where has the first half of the year gone?
1. Talon is a very easy to use screen capture tool. You can add the bookmarklet to your toolbar, and when you are on a page that you need a screen grab from, just click the bookmarklet and your page is saved to either your clipboard, desktop or online.
2.Twitter Follower Another easy to use tool that helps you follow people on Twitter by keyword. Add your account details and keyword and then Twitter Follower will find and follow users that have the keyword in their description.
3. DIY Chart allows you to create interactive charts and graphs from static or dynamic data. Read more about the features and benefits here
4. CoTweet is currently in private beta so I haven’t actually tried it, but by looking at the list of clients they have using the software it looks quite impressive. In a nutshell CoTweet is a platform that helps companies reach and engage customers using Twitter.
5. Wikirage Wikirage tracks the pages in Wikipedia which are receiving the most edits over various periods of time. Useful for trending information.

It’s Friday again, so here are my favourite web 2.0 tools and sites of the week.
1. My.alltop Alltop has been around for quite some time now, but the introduction of MyAlltop enables you to create a “personal, online magazine rack” of your favorite websites and blogs. You can create a collection from over 32,000 information source. They also provide a custom URL so that you can share your masterpiece with others.
2. imsdb Stands for the Internet Script movie data base. Most films seem to be on here, so pick your film and rehearse your quotes!
3. Pictaculous. This great tool allows you to upload an image and then gives you a suggested colour pallet based on the uploaded image.
4. Tiny petition. This very simple to use Twitter tool allows you the create and start petitions. Great if you want to get visibility on an issue quickly.
5. Visitor contact. Create slick contact forms for your site . The customisable sticky contact button will match the theme of your website to become a part of it. Your visitors are now a single click away from you. The form allows visitors to contact you with a single click via Twitter, maps, skype, and more.

It’s that time of the week again! - Here are my favourite web 2.0 tools of the week.
1.Google squared lets you square a search term, what i mean by square is present information on the search term in a grid. The searches work better if you are looking to get multiple answers. Check out the example for Roller Coaster.
2. Feed Stats brings you visualisations of a user’s FriendFeed activity. Just enter any FriendFeed user’s nickname and see their posting behavior.
3. TiltShift Generator is a very cool online app for editing images, it has some very nice effects including the ability to blur out the image - Recommended.
4. Obsurvey allows you to create surveys using the obsurvey tool. When you have created your survey, you are given a link to a webpage (a URL). You can send this link in an email to the targets that you want to answer your survey. View an example
5. Tiny chat allows you to create your own chat room and invite people through one simple link. You can also embed your chat room on your blog and in myspace. Tiny Chat can also be used to host video conferences with your participants.

Here is this week’s installment of my top web 2.0 tools and sites of the week.
1. TechNews.AM is first up today. As the name suggests TechNews.AM is all about technology news, it has a broad range of categories to view, from jobs to start ups. You can either select the latest stories to read or the most viewed. A great way to catch up on the latest tech news.
2. Omgili has been around for a while now but one feature inside Omgili is pretty neat. Omgili buzz charts lets you measure and compare the Buzz of any term. The Buzz is defined as the percentage of the term out of the total number of discussions Omgili covered on a specific date. You can also embed the Buzz Graph inside any web-page and monitor the buzz on a daily basis.
3. Tweetbio gives you a simple extended bio that gives your followers, potential followers, and the people you’re following a better sense of who you are. Quickly link to all your other sites, blogs, and Twitter Networks from your Tweetbio.
4. wikiAlarm is the first monitoring service to send email alerts when selected articles are edited on Wikipedia. It is easy to use and lets you track unlimited pages, monitor your products & brand names as well as competitors.
5. Finally, we have the LinkedIn Companion. This Firefox add-on allows you to open doors and opportunities for networking and the facilitation of finding projects through LinkedIn’s connection to over 25 million experienced business professionals.

Hi all, here are my five favorite web 2.0 tools and sites of the week.
1. First off today we have a Google product - Google News Time Line. The timeline organises search results chronologically. It allows users to view news and other data sources in a browsable, graphical timeline.
2. URL Zoom is a service that allows you to shorten long URLs and also create trackable tiny URLs. Another nice feature is that you can also see the referring site and the date and time that the URL was clicked.
3. PDF to GIF is a great little paid for service that, as the name suggests, converts your PDFs to animated GIFS. The package prices are all very resonable and dependent on the size and amount of pages you need converting.
4. Reshade offers you a way to create high-quality resized images online or offline maintaining image quality (edge and texture). This is great for creating avatars.
5. tmeet is a tweet to meet. You can send a tmeet about your location to tell your friends where you are. The site is based around Google maps and there is also an iPhone app available.

The end of the working week in near, so as always I present my five fabulous web 2.0 tools and sites of the week.
1. First off is News Trendz which gives you the low down on the latest, most talked about issues, people, events and news on the web by searching through Google and Twitter. The current top trend is 1. Susan Boyle
2. Analytics App for the iPhone provides you with Google Analytics for any account you administer. The app is very well laid out and gives you all the information you see in the web-based version. A great app!
3. Last week we featured NameChk which checks if profile names have been taken or not across social networks, news and bookmarking sites. KnowEm? does the same thing, but is slightly more visual and checks a few more accounts.
4. Social Media Metrics Plugin for Google Anayltics - this automatically pulls in social media metrics into Google Analytics’ Content Detail reports. To run it you need Firefox, and the Greasemonkey script. Check out the link to find out how to set it up.
5. Finally a little bit of fun. Cameroid lets you take crazy snaps of yourself right from your browser via a webcam. There are loads of different effects and filters to choose from to make your photo stand out.

Here’s the usal run-down of my favourite five web 2.0 sites and tools of the week.
1. This first one is a bit of a shameless plug. It’s our own site Pressitt, which is a social media news release creation and publishing tool. I wont big it up too much but I’ll just say that we think it’s pretty good!
2. daymix lets you search for general topics and then gives you a whole host of information from major online news agencies, blog posts, Twitter conversations and the buzz surrounding these topics as of late. The site also includes images and videos. A great site!
3. Singlefunction is a web site that showcases clean simple websites that simply have one function. The site lets you make suggestions and view the showcase.
4. Wonderwall - if you like all things celebrity you will like this. On entering the site you are prestented with a wall of celebrity faces - scroll down until you find a face of interest, click on it and you’ll be taken to a related story. A cool site from MSN Entertainment.
5. I really like the interface of Loom TV . Enter your search term and you will be taken to a very slick page where you can narrow down your selection, watch a video and do all sorts of other social related stuff. Loom TV can also be used as desktop application. Give it a go, as I think you’ll like it!
Five on Friday - five fabulous Web 2.0 tools and sites of the week (27-02-09)

This month has gone so quickly, but as per normal here is your weekly instalment of my 5 favourite web 2.0 tools and sites of the week.
1. Twitter Pearch. Add a keyword to the interface and when someone uses that keyword you automatically follow them. It only allows you to follow a maximum of 20 people a day.
2. Twibs. A tool that lists all companies and business on Twitter in alphabetical order. Browse through 5,116 current Twitter businesses.
3. Link extender is a Firefox only add-on. It gives you loads of information on websites, website safety information, site traffic, ratings, and demographics. Recommended.
4. Breaking Tweets. This tool offers a brief overview of a breaking news story, and then uses Twitter posts as quotes within the story, with links to other sources for those wanting more information on the breaking news.
5. This week’s Five on Friday is a little Twitter heavy, so we might as well finish it with a Twitter clone called Flokio - start your own microblogging group. Just pick a group name and URL and off you go!
